So I bought a webcam last week thinking it might be really cool to start doing video blogs, but I can’t figure out how to convert the video file to one that is compatible with YouTube or even WordPress. I am having no such luck with this, which is why its been a while since I last wrote. I have been making fun videos then trying desperately to get them on the site. I will get some help from friends that are a little more in tune with this stuff and (hopefully) eventually start posting video blogs.
Anyway, a lot has been going on. I started full force back into a work out routine last week, so I am super sore, but trying hard to muscle through it. I want to get back to how I was. I just feel better about myself and have more energy when I am in the groove of a routine.
I had three auditions last week and ended up booking an MTV promo for the VMA’s! It shoots tomorrow. I am very excited, other than the fact that my work day starts at 5:30am.
On Saturday we went to Union Square for what we thought was going to be a crazy public water fight as advertised on the cover of TimeOut NY, but when we got there we (along with other New Yorkers of all ages) were greeted by police officers who said because the organizers of the event didn’t obtain a permit from the park, we were prohibited from shooting our water guns. While the officers were giving us reasons why we weren’t even allowed to spray our friends in fun, a girl walked by with a water bottle and flung some water in the air. She was then ARRESTED! It was one of the craziest things I have ever witnessed in New York City.

Woohoo.
Its Wednesday again. Had a lovely little day of fun! I met up with my pal Evan in Bryant Park and we discussed potential story lines for a comedic short we might do… It ended up being a lot longer than I’d anticipated and now I have a wicked sunburn on my shoulder blades and shoulders. Feels magical!
After that I worked for a while then met up in Union Square with my girl Brandi and browsed around for a bit. She got me a really pretty blue scarf. She’s great- always getting my little gifts to brighten my day! Last week she brought me some Japanese candy!
I had dinner my friends Bill and Melissa (they are brother and sister). Bill is my very best photographer friend who takes most of the photos you see of me. He decided we need to do a really legit portrait shoot to get a REALLY special photo. He’s been doing some awesome and very exciting things lately. You can read more about that at www.ontakingpictures.com.
Anyway, the three of us ate at Stand (one of my favorite places to get a burger) and then got Pinkberry for dessert! What a treat! I love their company. I was in an extremely silly mood, too, which is most likely a result of too much sun earlier today. We were laughing pretty much the whole time.
Tomorrow I have three auditions back to back. I am super excited. Here’s to hoping I book something again soon!!!
This is the photo Bill took of me for his 365 project last year…

So two weekends ago my friend Amanda visited from North Carolina.

Last weekend my pal Colby visited from Los Angeles.

Needless to say, I am totally worn out. I heck of a lot of touring around the city and not enough rest! It was so great to get some visitors, though. I always love seeing friends and showing them around this phenomenal city.
Amanda and Colby were very easy visitors. They weren’t hard to host for or anything. Very “go with the flow” and just so happy to be here. They are both totally awesome people to be around.
I plan on taking it easy this week. I want to get back into my normal workout schedule and play more guitar. Sounds nice, right?
I also have an urge to take a tour bus around NYC… Wouldn’t that be fun?!! I have talked about it with numerous friends and we all agree it would be fun to play tourist for a day and wear the “I <3 NY” tee’s. Maybe I will have to plan some sort of event… Hmmmm…
Anyway, today was a good day. Took Colby to JFK and then watched the sunset and hung out with good company for a bit in Sea Cliff, Long Island.
Oh- As of yesterday the commercial is still running in Times Square!!!

I’m so thrilled about the new site- Hope everyone likes it. My new friend Jason is the bomb and designed it. Check out his work on my links page. I also added my fave photographer friend Bill Wadman and my amazing hair genius Tommy of Thomas Cole Salon in Great Neck, New York.
My pal Colby is visiting from Los Angeles and this weekend is a total BLAST! Hope everyone else is feeling the same! Beautiful weather in NYC!
Check out how ridiculously awesome Colby is at doing make up and how amazing Tommy is at colors and cuts!!! Love taking random pictures in my bathroom with my iPhone ;P

XOXOXO

Is listening to people sing.
I love it so much.
I was on my way home from hanging out with my agent late tonight and was waiting at the 59th Street station for what seemed like forever, but there was this man with a beat up boombox singing “My Girl” and it was absolutely beautiful. His voice was so expressive and soulful. It made the hot, stale air of the underground just dance with feeling and life.
Music is beautiful, and there is nothing like listening to someone sing their soul out.
I feel like music is one of my most prized possessions and is special because absolutely NO ONE can take it from me. It infuses so many emotions and memories.
You can strip a man bare, but as long as he’s alive, there will still be a song in his heart.

Brandi and I decided last minute to go on a quick little trip to SF. It was amazing.
I got to see my sister, niece, nephew, aunts, uncles, and cousins! A family affair.
Brandi had never been to California, so we did some intense touring around San Francisco.
So much fun! What a magical trip.
